Climate Change from an Alternative Perspective

The Canadian Federal election is over and Canada rejected the green taxation policies of the Liberal Party and the now infamous Green Shift. While the Conservatives did not capture a majority as I had predicted, they only manged to pick up 19 more seats leaving them 11 short, the biggest loser in the race was the economic killing environmental taxation policies that had such sweeping support among environmentalists and left leaning economists across Canada. The Liberals paid a heavy toll, losing 17 seats and weaking the party even more.

This should be the final verdict on Climate Change as a form of overall fiscal policy in Canada for the next 2 years at a minimum. The next test will be here in British Columbia as the plans regarding the Western Climate Initiative get digested and we see the fiscal results of the Carbon Tax policy at the provincial level and move into a provincial election. So now that the entire world has officially gone climate crazy I think I am starting to doubt the validity of even attempting to speak out on the climate change issue. When John McCain would tap Al Gore on Climate Change Issues revolving around the new UNFCCC agreement set for 2009, the end is nigh my friends. I feel, what with the Canadian Prime Ministerial debates degrading into a tackling climate change solves everything dog pile on the one person who has any sense out of the lot, now this McCain lapse of judgement I think it is game over for all of us who feel that Climate Change is not the greatest challenge facing the world today.

Just got the monthly average Ice Extent number for September 2008 and because the mainstream media is too busy running footage of Polar Bear hearing tests I thought I would post it here. Since one year does not mean anything to the AGW camp, I am reluctant to post the 2008 data after the release of the 2007 data that started this year's race for the Ice Free Pole movement. Hate to start a stampede to the Arctic to see the increase in Ice Extent this year.
